Competition Winner & Freebie

Well, I don't know if Rafflecopter is actually going to behave and 'announce' the winner on the widget, as it is currently twirling round and round and doing nothing! So I can announce that the winner of my Blackpool Merlin Family ticket is Julie Clark... Congratulations. Hope you have a fab day out in Blackpool, when we get some sunshine!

And for another treat... For those who fancy reading Witchcraft, but haven't yet read Witchblood... it is currently FREE to download on Amazon US, B&N & as Amazon UK aren't co-operating Brit readers can download it FREE from Smashwords.

Witchcraft is Published!

Well finally the day is here...well yesterday actually! Witchcraft has now been published and is available on Amazon Kindle and Smashwords for all other formats...ie if you have an ipad or Nook and want epub then go to Smashwords. I will be uploading to B&N and ibooks but it might take a few weeks.
Today is also the start of my Blog Tour, so please pop over to Readaraptor to read my guest post on researching witches! Tommorow is the second part of the post looking at researching vampires, over at Susan K Mann.

You can also pop over to The Erratic Reviewer for her review of Witchcraft.

For my local fans I have a treat for you! Throughout the week, I will be running a competition where you can win an amazing prize from Merlin of a free family ticket (up to 2 adults and 2 children or 4 people - valid till 31st December 2012) for the Merlin attractions inside The Blackpool Tower.

Have a look at these links for more info:

Meningitus, Medication & Deadlines

Apologies for the lack of updates recently and so close to my blog tour and publication dates...you must be wondering what on earth is going on?! Well, I do have a good excuse... I have Meningitis (luckily the viral kind, not bacterial) and spent most of last week in hospital on an iv. I am now at home but still bed bound and today is the first day I have opened my laptop!

Luckily I had almost finished Witchcraft, I just have a final read through to finish and consequently I am still hoping to be able to upload and publish it on Friday! I cannot be online for more than about twenty minutes due to headaches and my rather strong drugs, which I have to take five times a day and knock me out, so please pass word around, tweet and facebook my blog tour and book links for me once they go live at the weekend. I can really do with all the promo help possible.

As for now...it's almost 10pm... drug time & welcome to the world of nightmares!

Editing, editing and a little bit more editing!

Well, I'm in the publication month of Witchcraft now and everything has gone so smoothly I may bring the publication date forward to coincide with the first day of my blog tour, which would be the 16th June, rather than the 25th!

That gives me two weeks to fine tune the final edit. I have had great feedback from five lovely Beta readers, two of which are book bloggers, so you'll be able to read their reviews on the tour - look out for Nancy's review at The Avid Reader on the 18th and Kim's at The Caffeinated Diva on the 20th.

I am a little nervous that this time around I haven't been able to afford to pay Cornerstones to help me with the edit, and I'm hoping that I've managed to take on board all their tips from last time... The one thing I find most difficult is the 'show, don't tell' rule. It's so easy to fall into this trap, so this week I'm doing a final read through, looking in particular for this kind of error! But over all I think my writing just might bit a bit tighter, a bit more pacey and hopefully a bit more exciting! Lets hope you all agree!
